Robust Courses For Students Across the District
PTR (pupil-teacher ratio) has increased to over 25 in the elementary school with some classes in the middle and high schools exceeding 35 students per class.
- 6th grade students were retained in their elementary schools
- 6th grade curriculum not easily incorporated in 5/6 classes on every elementary campus in the district.
- 7/8 grade students are not leveled based on academics, but a social-emotional development model instead.
- Advanced 7/8 grade students have limited class options with students on the same academic level
- 7/8 grade advanced band students in classes with beginning band students
